Rochester’s 2nd Street Waving Guy is Excited For SocialICE [VIDEO]

With the Super Bowl finally in our rear view mirror, it's time once again to look ahead at the one of the coldest, but most fun events in Rochester - SocialICE 2018!

For the past eight years, the Peace Plaza in downtown has transformed into one giant outdoor bar with several uniquely designed and themed ice bars (literally made of ice) – each with signature drinks. There's also a live DJ nightly, dozens of beautifully crafted ice sculptures, and more.

But if that's not enough to get you excited to show up, one of Rochester's biggest celebrities in Joe Johnson a.k.a. 2nd Street Waving Guy will be there too! We all know and love Joe, but he's probably the last person you want advice from on how to dress up for the event.

You can see what he's probably wearing to SocialICE and what he all has to say HERE. We, however, suggest just a couple more layers than that, especially with the average low temperatures hovering on or slightly above zero this weekend.

SocialICE runs February 8, 9, & 10. Thursday 4-9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday 5-10 p.m. This event is FREE to attend and open to the public.
