Legendary Restaurant is Opening a New Location in Downtown Rochester

A delicious, mouth-watering new restaurant is coming to downtown Rochester, Minnesota. It's considered a legendary restaurant so for those of you who love a good cut of meat, this one's for you.

We have so many great restaurants downtown already, and many of them have opened in the past few years. This restaurant is going to be a great addition to celebrate special occasions or just when you want a really good steak.

Rochester, MN Newest Restaurant

The newest restaurant coming to Rochester is Ruth's Chris Steak House! If you're not a big meat connoisseur you may not know about this restaurant. Don't worry, I didn't either until I asked my meat-loving co-workers and did a little research.

Ruth's Chris Steak House was started in 1965 by Ruth Fertel. The press release about the new restaurant says she "opened a 60-seat steak house in New Orleans." And now she has 150 steak house locations around the world. No wonder she has the nickname 'First Lady of Steak'.

Where is Ruth's Chris Steak House Opening in Rochester, MN

Ruth's Chris will be opening in the Kahler but not until next year. Construction will begin late this summer and it's expected to be done in time to welcome their first guests in early 2024. The restaurant will be 7,800 square-feet with outdoor seating, a full bar, and private dining areas as well.

This is going to be the second Ruth's Chris in Minnesota. The first Minnesota location is in Minneapolis.
