Tons and tons of awards are handed out throughout the Minnesota State Fair. Awards for photography, fine arts, livestock, and so much more.

The state fair just released some stats from the 2026 fair and announced some big-time winners in the livestock and FFA portion of the fair. 5 people from Southeast Minnesota won some huge honors!

We've got Supreme Champion winners among us as well as royalty in SE Minnesota.

SE Minnesota Award Winners at the 2026 Minnesota State Fair

Up first, there are two SE Minnesotans who took home the title of Supreme Champion in their categories for livestock competitions.

  • Mike Patterson with Country Girls Show Pigs out of Kenyon won the Open Class Supreme Champion Boar title.
  • Riley Donkers with Big Woods Babydolls out of Faribault won the Open Class Supreme Champion Ram title.

We also have a SE Minnesotan who won a top title from the Minnesota State Fair Horse show. Shout out to Levi Schreiber, driver from Schreiber Percherons out of Plainview, who won the Youth Cart Classic Series.

And finally, one big award and one big honor both won by SE Minnesotans.

Julia Patterson from the Kenyon-Wanamingo FFA won the Douglas K. Baldwin Award for FFA livestock show participation and leadership.

And last but not least, we've talked about her before, our royalty from SE Minnesota, Jena Hanson from Owatonna is our 73rd Princess Kay of the Milky Way. Throughout the next year, she "will serve as the official goodwill ambassador for nearly 1,500 Minnesota dairy farm families".

Who Has Played The Minnesota State Fair Grandstand The Most?

The Minnesota State Fair is routinely ranked as one of the best state fairs in the country. It runs for 12 days from late August to Labor Day. The food, rides, and 4-H exhibits are big draws, and the Grandstand Entertainment is just as popular.
