A Rochester, Minnesota business has sadly closed their doors. However, there's a bit of a positive spin to this story!

There was the big announcement recently that Joann is closing all of their stores across the country, which is super sad.

I remember almost any time I had a crafting project for either school or just for fun as a kid we would go to Joann, so it's super weird to think that they're going away.

We do have a Joann store that will be closing in Rochester but that's not the store I'm talking about. This store is a cute little home decor and gift shop.

Rochester, MN Home Decor and Gift Shop Closes

The shop is called Shades of Green and they closed the shop on 2nd St. for the last time on Sunday, March 2nd. They were holding big sales to get rid of as much of their stuff as possible.

But we can expect to hear from them again soon!

Shades of Green will be leaving Rochester but they aren't leaving the area. In fact, they'll still be pretty close by.

Shades of Green Moving from Rochester, MN

On their Facebook post announcing their final moving sale, they also shared in the comments that they will be opening a new location in Downtown Oronoco and they have some big plans.

First, they'll still have their cute gift shop. But they're also going to have a bistro and pub plus a cocktail lounge in their new location, which sounds so cool!

I reached out to Shades of Green to see if I could get any more details on whether they'd be opening in the summer, fall, etc. but haven't heard back. They did say on Facebook, though, that the new shop will open later this year.
