Shakopee Brewery is a Finalist for ‘America’s Top Small Business’ Award

There's a brewery in Shakopee, Minnesota that's getting quite the recognition. They're a finalist for the 'America's Top Small Business' award. This is something awarded each year by the US Chamber of Commerce.

Each year, the seven finalists get a one-year free membership to the US Chamber of Commerce. The overall winner gets $25,000.

The finalists were announced last week and in the running for the top spot is Shakopee Brewhall!

America's Top Small Business Finalists for 2023

The seven finalists each represent their respective parts of the country. So Shakopee Brewhall is the only Midwest small business in the running to win.

The other small businesses that made it to the finals are: Alaska Premier Auctions and Appraisals in Anchorage, AK, Calgo Gardens in Freehold, NJ, Elderly Instruments in Lansing, MI, P.L.A.Y. Pet Lifestyle and You in San Francisco, CA, River Rock Outfitter in Fredericksburg, VA, and Waggin' Tails Pet Ranch in Fulshear, TX.

Shakopee Brewhall

Shakopee Brewhall shared the exciting news about advancing on to the finals on their Facebook. They said that there were over 15,000 applicants this year. That was then widdled down to the top 70 which was then taken down to the top 7.

They opened their doors in 2017. Since then, they've added coffee to their menu in addition to the beer they offer.

Even if they don't win, this is still a huge deal that they were picked to be in the top 7 small businesses across the country. I'll have to go check them out sometime!
