Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A shot was fired Saturday night during a confrontation that started when a man went to a residence in southeast Rochester to see his girlfriend.

Police Captain Casey Moilanen says the man was instructed to leave the property in the Parkside Mobile Home Park, but refused and insisted he wanted to speak to the woman. At some point during the dispute, another man approached the visitor with a handgun and fired a shot into the air while demanding he leave.

That prompted another resident of the mobile home park off Marion Road Southeast to call 911 and report the gunfire. Captain Moilanen says the responding officers arrested 20-year-old Brice Kukuzke. The arrest report states he admitted firing the gun and provided the officers with information leading to the recovery of the weapon inside the residence.

Kukuzke is expected to be charged with felony assault, terroristic threats, and reckless discharge of a firearm.
