La Crosse, WI (KROC-AM News) - A Spring Grove man has pleaded guilty to first-degree murder for a fatal shooting in La Crosse.

32-year-old Timothy Young admitted to the charge during a hearing this morning at the La Crosse County Courthouse. He is scheduled to be sentenced on May 7th.

The Houston County man shot and killed an employee of a downtown La Crosse bar last summer. The criminal complaint says Young was refused entry into the business and later returned with a gun and shot 19-year-old Anthony Fimple in the head.

The La Crosse man, who had enlisted in the Navy and was set to report for boot camp last August, died from the gunshot wound the following day. Following the deadly shooting, Young sped away from the scene in his car but was captured about 30 minutes later.
