Spring 2023 Weather Prediction for Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin
I'm tired of seeing snow, how about you? I'm ready for winter to be over. Luckily spring is on the way! What can we expect from this spring in Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin? Let's see what the Old Farmer's Almanac prediction has to say.
Is the Old Farmer's Almanac Accurate?
With any predictions, we have to wonder how accurate they are. It seems so often that the meteorologists will predict something like 10 inches of snow and then we get a dusting. So can we really trust the Old Farmer's Almanac? I haven't kept track of how their predictions panned out for this winter but I remember last winter they predicted a snowstorm for one specific weekend in January. I marked it on my calendar and everything and sure enough, we did get a good amount of snow that weekend. I wouldn't say it was a snowstorm but they weren't totally off.
Old Farmer's Almanac Prediction, Spring 2023
Like I said, I'm looking forward to warmer weather but... we may need to wait a bit for that. According to the Old Farmer's Almanac predictions for this spring, it's going to be "coolish" with "above normal precipitation".
Heads up to Wisconsin, they do say that the Great Lakes area (so Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois, and Ohio) will likely have snow at the beginning of April. As for Minnesota and Iowa, that's not the forecast right now but with the prediction being cool with above-normal precipitation I guess you never know. This is a case where I hope the Old Farmer's Almanac is wrong!
