Stewartville, MN (KROC AM News) - The Stewartville City Council in January denied a proposal to expand the Southern Hills mobile home park.  A lawsuit seeking a reversal of the decision has been filed in Olmsted County Court.

The owner submitted plans to acquire adjacent property and add as many as 300 units to the park. The lawsuit says the owner acquired the site in 2014 and has invested $2-million in maintaining the property.

The lawsuit says the city council’s decision to deny the proposal was “unlawful, arbitrary, capricious and an abuser of discretion."

A hearing date on the lawsuit has not yet been scheduled.
