Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester woman who was doing yard work at her home Monday afternoon had a frightful encounter.

The 40-year-old woman was in her front yard in the 600 block of 5th Ave SE around 1:00 PM when a strange man walked up and told her she was attractive. The woman thanked him and continued her work and then noticed the man was walking in circles around her.

The woman says the man made a comment about committing a “sex act on her” and she decided to take a photograph of him. The woman says the man then said he was going to come back later that night, break into her house and rape her. The woman called 911 and told police she “was terrified” of the man.

Officers found the man nearby and arrested him on felony harassment and disorderly conduct charges. He was identified as 38-year-old Brandon Carmichael.

A police spokesman says he was intoxicated and a breath test showed he had a blood/alcohol level of .2
