Hey, fellow Minnesota women, there are some recent studies from WalletHub that have great news for us! It may be pretty obvious, and something you already know, but Minnesota is one of the best states for women.

One of the most recent studies says that Minnesota is overall one of the best states for women, ranking in the top 5, but there are other studies that prove it, too.

Minnesota Ranked One of the Best States for Women

Metrics like median earnings for women, high school graduation rate for women, and percent of women-owned businesses were some of the ways that WalletHub determined the rankings.

Overall, Minnesota was named the 4th best state for women for 2026. 3rd place went to Maine, 2nd to Washington DC, and 1st place went to Massachusetts.

Minnesota Also One of the Best States to Have a Baby

Moving on to another study, something that's important in many women's lives is starting a family. Good thing not only is Minnesota a great state overall for women, but it's also one of the best states to have a baby in 2026, coming in as the 3rd best.

Along the same vein, another study shows that Minnesota is the 6th best state for working moms.

Minnesota is a Great State for Women's Equality

The final study I'll reference is the one that says Minnesota is one of the best states for women's equality for 2026, coming in 12th place.

All of these studies and stats illustrate that Minnesota truly is a great state for women and show why women can thrive in the Land of 10,000 Lakes. There's always room for improvement (we aren't 1st place yet), but I'm still quite proud of these rankings!
