A man in a stolen vehicle led Minnesota authorities on a high-speed chase into Wisconsin that resulted in a standoff on a Mississippi River barge.

The body of the 22-year-old woman was found in the Mississippi River on Wednesday.

The Houston County Sheriff's Office notified La Crosse Police of the tragic discovery this morning.

The federal law enforcement operation in southeastern Minnesota happened on the same day as federal raids in the Twin Cities that drew protesters.

The southeastern Minnesota law enforcement pursuit ended with a crash that involved a semi on Hwy. 52.

The State Patrol says there were students riding on the bus at the time of the crash.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision.

He was the only person in his vehicle.

Officials say he was the lone occupant of the home.

The incident occurred Friday morning.
