Tear Gas Doesn’t Faze Rochester Drug Dealer Suspect
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man was taken into custody Thursday - but not until after causing quite a bit of commotion in his southeast neighborhood.
Officers executed a search warrant at 1408 2nd St SE around 6:30 AM as part of a drug investigation. Police had been tipped off about suspected drug activity at the home.
Officers were looking for 30-year-old Tyler Clark. There were three other people inside and one said Clark had left before the raid. But the officers discovered Clark was hiding in the attic and ordered him to come down. After repeated orders, the officers decided to use tear gas to get Clark to surrender - but he still would not come down. Officers eventually went into the attic and apprehended him. The woman who told police Clark was not there was also arrested.
The Fire Dept. was called to ventilate the home.
Officers found 7 ounces of methamphetamine and three handguns in the home.
