Minnesota may be known for its 10,000 lakes, but we've got some pretty cute towns. And the cutest town in the entire North Star State has just been unveiled.

Thanks to the gang over at PureWow.com, we now know which town in each state is the cutest. Their new Cutest Town in Every State poll was posted recently, but I'm not sure I agree with their results for Minnesota.

Now, when it comes to cute towns, the Bold North (is that still a thing-- are we still referring to our state that way?) has several that leap to my mind. Like Grand Marais, along the North Shore. Or maybe Lanesboro, with its scenic location along the Root River. Or how about Stillwater, with its iconic lift bridge? And there are probably a TON more out there in Minnesota too, right?

Which is why I have to question PureWow's having named... Excelsior... as the Cutest Town in Minnesota. Now, I don't have anything against the good folks in Excelsior (and I love the great beers they craft over at Excelsior Brewing Company), but is a suburb of  Minneapolis REALLY the best choice for Cutest Minnesota Town?

PureWow explained their choice saying, "This suburb of Minneapolis set on Lake Minnetonka has it all: an adorable main street, a central public park, an idyllic swimming beach and a scenic marina where you can sail, fish or grab a meal at one of the harborside restaurants," the site noted.

But aren't there other, independent Minnesota towns that are just as cute? What do YOU think? What gets your vote as the Cutest Town in Minnesota?
