The Hubbell House Delays Reopening Date
The popular Hubbell House in Mantorville, MN has been closed since the beginning of the year. They had plans to reopen at the beginning of April but sadly those plans had to be changed.
Not only is The Hubbell House a popular spot for locals to eat, but it's also popular because of how long it's been around. The Hubbell House is one of the oldest restaurants still in operation in Minnesota. It was built 4 years before Minnesota even became an official state according to their website!
A the beginning of 2020 The Hubbell House was sold to new owners. The new owners are a well-known company in Rochester called the Powers Venture Group. Of course, everything was delayed because of COVID but at the beginning of this year is when things started to get moving again.
January 1st of 2022 was when The Hubbell House closed its doors for renovations. It was originally announced that renovations would be over at the beginning of April but sadly that has changed.
It looks like the renovations are a little behind because the reopening date has been pushed out for about a month. On their Facebook page, it now says they'll reopen in May of this year.
I'm not sure why the reopening date has been delayed. I would assume it's because of shipping delays but I can't say for sure. I reached out to Powers Venture Group for more information but I haven't heard back yet.
