The Preview Party is invading the Rotunda in the MOA and will run from 11 am to 5 pm on July 25th.

According to the event description:

"Guests will be transported back in time to experience the sights and sounds of a 16th century European village. "

The Rotunda will be full of magicians, musicians, and dancers. Visitors can also expect to participate in interactive activities, such as arts and crafts and photo opportunities with characters.

After 49 years of medieval celebrations, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival is ready to commemorate its fiftieth anniversary.

The festival runs Saturdays and Sundays (with the exception of Labor Day and Festival Friday) from August 21st to October 3rd. Festival Friday is October 1st this year.

The festival opens at 9 am each day and closes at 7 pm. Rain or shine!

About each month, the festival holds 'Free Ticket Tuesday.' Test your luck by entering the next one, and perhaps you can skip the ticket booth on your visit.

It's exciting to see the actors preparing for the big event! Last week, they successfully invaded the Waseca County Fair, and now, it's time to seize the Rotunda!

Alas, it's time for a very serious question: are you more excited for the Minnesota Renaissance Festival or the Minnesota State Fair? Let us know in the comments below...if you dare.
