With all the rabbits running wild near my own home garden, I don't think I could even grow baby carrots, let alone this beast!

According to this, Otsego's own Chris Qualley says he just starting gardening a few years ago... but it's safe to say now he's a master at his craft.

So much so, he could soon earn himself a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for growing the world's heaviest carrot in his own backyard.

Weighing in at an astounding 22 pounds, 4 ounces, he would crush the current record of 20 pounds, set in 2014 by Peter Glazebrook of Newark (UK).

Not only does Qualley grow colossal carrots, but also towering tomatoes, plus-sized pumpkins, watermelons and more. Sorry, I ran out of adjectives there, but yeah you get the idea.

We certainly wish him luck when Guinness comes knocking for the new world record!
