Located about 100 miles West of Rochester, you will find one of the most unique roadside attractions in the State!

Located in Blue Earth, a 55-foot Jolly Green Giant welcomes residents and visitors alike to the quaint little town! But what is the story behind the Giant and why is he there? According to OnlyInYourState.com, the statue was built in 1979 with permission from the Green Giant Company, whose headquarters are 70 miles away in Le Sueur. It was built as a way to generate revenue in the town and to attract visitors from all over!

Here's a recent photo of the massive Jolly Green Giant statue wearing his face mask doing his part to stop the spread of COVID-19

Not only is there the statue, but there is also a Jolly Green Giant Museum that you can visit! Inside the museum, you can learn about the Green Giant company's history, see a huge collection of memorabilia, and see all types of vintage cans and advertisements!

The normal hours of the museum are Monday-Friday from 9a-5p with admission for adult being $2! If you are looking for something fun to do this summer, why not take a drive down I-90 and see the Jolly Green Giant for yourself!
