This Minnesota House Is So Bright, You Can Probably See It From Space!
Clark Griswold (from Christmas Vacation) has some stiff Minnesota competition for the most lively, decorated holiday home this year.
Each year the Loosbrock family in Hastings, Minnesota, cover every inch of their home with festive holiday lights.
Their electricity bill has to be astronomical. According to an article written by CNBC, the average cost of running Christmas lights in Minnesota from Thanksgiving to New Year's is $18.38. However, this house is anything but average.
People from all over the state flock to 3rd and Pine Street in Hastings to take in the Christmas glory each year. In fact, owner Michele Loosbrook stated in an 2009 article, "People have come to expect it."
The house is truly stunning (and incredibly bright.) I personally would be a tad nervous about creating a huge fire hazard, but this isn't the family's first rodeo. They are professionals when it comes to Christmas lights.
I've noticed a few homes in Owatonna with some fantastic holiday displays. However, none of the homes I've seen are as brilliant as this Minnesota masterpiece. If you've seen some noteworthy displays in the area, share them with us on our app!
