Rush City, MN (KROC-AM News) - A fiery crash this morning in east-central Minnesota involving a car and a transport bus has claimed the lives of three people.

The Chisago County Sheriff's Office says deputies and other emergency personnel responded around 7:50 a.m. to 911 calls reporting the collision on a rural road near Rush City. Officials say the callers indicated the transport bus and the car were both engulfed in flames.

A news release on the deadly incident says the three people killed were in the passenger car. The names of the victims have not been released. Is not known if anyone on the bus was injured.

The State Patrol is assisting Chisago County authorities with the investigation.
