The National Weather Service says a storm system will produce strong and gusty west winds across the region this evening. Wind gusts of 45 to 50 mph are expected across southeast Minnesota and northeast Iowa tonight.

Winds this strong may cause minor tree and power line damage and
make travel difficult. The winds are expected to temporarily subside toward sunrise, but
then increase again after sunrise Tuesday.

A Tornado Watch has been issued until 10:00 p.m. for our entire listening area. We'll continue to monitor and will provide any updates as new information becomes available.
