St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News) - State officials are reporting a Twin Cities man was arrested twice for drunk driving over a seven-hour period last weekend.

A statement from the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety says the man was arrested around 6 PM Sunday after he was pulled over for failure to signal a lane change on I-494 in Plymouth and then failed some field sobriety tests. After he was booked, officials say the man was released to a sober driver.

The same man was stopped for the same traffic offense, failing to signal a lane change, on a city street in Eden Prairie at about 12:40 AM Monday. Once again, he failed the field sobriety tests and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. Officials say the police report notes the arresting officer asked the man where he was coming from and he admitted that he had just been released an hour or two earlier after his DWI arrest in Plymouth.
