Two people were killed in Goodhue County last night when a car driven by a Rochester woman

ran a stop sign and collided with another vehicle.  The Goodhue County Sheriff’s Department says 34 year old Jessica Braun was headed south on County Road 7 when she failed to stop and crashed into the other vehicle, which was eastbound on County Road 9.  Two passengers in Braun’s car died at the scene.  They have been identified as 50 year old Blanka Burt of Utica and 51 year old Rosa Alvarez of Mexico.  Braun and another passenger - 82 year old Celia Alvarez of Utica - were taken to St. Mary’s.  Braun was reported in good condition this morning.  There was no record of Alvarez.  The other driver and her passenger were treated at the scene.

The wreck happened around 8 o’clock a few miles west of the town of Goodhue.
