Two Rochester Teens Arrested After Fighting With Police Officers

Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Two Rochester teenagers were arrested after getting into a scuffle with police officers Tuesday.

A patrol officer made a traffic stop of a vehicle near the Subway Sandwich shop in the 100 block of 20th St SE around 4:00 PM.

The driver became uncooperative and the officer called for backup. Other officers arrived and while they were struggling with the driver, an employee of the Subway business ran to the scene and began fighting. Officers eventually subdued the two and took them into custody.

The driver was identified as 18-year-old Davante Williams of Rochester. Turns out the Subway employee who became involved is his 17-year-old girlfriend. She is also facing charges.

Two officers suffered minor injuries during the scuffle.
