Rochester, Minnesota has been a hotspot for celebrity sightings and celebrity news lately. And now we know why a celebrity couple, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner, were walking around the downtown area in early August.

I'm pretty sure most of Rochester heard the news that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were in the Med City back on August 8th.  Photos were captured and shared by Joey Ahlquist and eventually, TMZ even picked the story up and shared photos that someone took while the celebrity couple enjoyed a meal at Bleu Duck.

At the time of the story, there were a lot of people posting their opinion online why the couple was in town.  The primary elections were around the same time so rumors circulated that politics could be the reason.  I saw a few individuals mention that the couple were probably in town for Mayo Clinic due to Jared Kushners past thyroid cancer diagnosis.  Others were just ticked off that a story would be written about the couple.

According to Reuters.com, it was confirmed that Jared Kushner just had another thyroid surgery.   When he was spotted in town earlier in August, he was in Rochester for an appointment at Mayo Clinic.  The surgery took place late last week and according to the story, he "is expected to make a full recovery".
