Weather Closings and Delays For Friday, December 10th, 2021

The first major snowstorm of the season is expected on Friday with heavy snow creating difficult and dangerous travel conditions all across southeast Minnesota. 5-12 inches across the area. The National Weather Service provided this update on Thursday that showed which towns could get the hardest and when the snow is expected to start on Friday morning.

Byron Public Schools: 2 Hour Early Release

Caledonia Schools: Dismissing at 1:00 PM. All athletic and community classes are canceled.

Cannon Falls Area Schools: Closed Friday

Chatfield Public Schools: Closed Friday (Valleyland will be open)

• Ability Building Center in Rochester has canceled out-of-town transportation and in-town pickups will be on plowed roads and driveways only.
• Caravel Autism Health closing at 2:00 PM
• Church of the Resurrection Adoration Chapel closed today, reopen Sat at 9am.

  • The Saturday Dermatology Clinic at the hospital will be open normal hours.
  • FastCare South and Miracle Mile Acute Care will be open normal hours.

OMC’s Emergency Department and BirthCenter will be open 24/7. The Emergency Department is located at 1650 4th Street SE, Rochester.
