What the Color Coded Price Tags Mean at TJMaxx in Minnesota
I'm a huge fan of TJMaxx. Do I come home with more things than I intended to buy almost every time? Yes. Do I regret it? No way, I love all of my finds!
We have quite a few TJMaxx locations in Minnesota and if you're a frequent shopper you may have noticed that sometimes there are different tag colors and sticker colors. But do you know what they mean? That's what we're going to break down!

TJMaxx Owned Stores
First, if you're a big TJMaxx fan you may already know this, but TJMaxx owns a few different home decor and clothing stores. You have HomeGoods and Marshall's, which I think are the most commonly known to be owned by the TJMaxx Company.
But Sierra is also a TJMaxx brand. It's like a TJMaxx for outdoor things.
And then there's HomeSense, which I'm not too familiar with but it appears to be like HomeGoods. It also seems that they have a few locations in the US but it's mostly a Canada brand.
However, these tag and sticker color hacks are only applicable to TJMaxx, as far as I'm aware.
TJMaxx Color Codes
The next time you're at TJMaxx looking for a good deal, keep your eyes peeled for these colors on the price tags. One of them tells you when the price is as low as it'll get!
You've got white tags, blue tags, purple tags, red stickers, and orange stickers at TJMaxx. Here's what they all mean.
The white tag is just the regular price. Easy enough.
A blue tag means that there is a coordinating item nearby but the items can also be sold separately, according to a TJMaxx representative who spoke with NewsNation.
Purple tags are special. Purple tags mean the item is part of TJMaxx's 'The Runway'. It's "'a higher-end collection featuring “European, contemporary and couture fashion.'"
Then we get to the discount colors! A red sticker on a tag is a discount on the item, as you probably know. And I've seen multiple red stickers on each other so they can be discounted even more.
The one's to be on the lookout for are the yellow stickers. This means the item won't get any lower in price, so you'd better snag it if it's something you want!
