New Wine and Whiskey Lounge Quietly Opens in Rochester

I do my best to stay updated on things going on in Rochester and southeast Minnesota. It's part of my job but also I just like to know what's new and what's happening in the area. And I just came across something that I had no idea existed until today!

I was scrolling through the Downtown Rochester, Minnesota Facebook page to see if I had missed anything interesting and I came across a reel for this new spot in town.

It turns out, they quietly opened at the end of January this year and I'm just now learning about it. So I wanted to pass the information along to you.

New Cocktail Lounge Open in Rochester, MN

The place is called Pereira's Wine and Whiskey Lounge. I'm not sure of their exact opening date but the first post they shared on Facebook with their hours was on January 25th.

The inside looks really cool, with different themed rooms, "thoughtfully curated offerings", and a "laid back, yet sophisticated lounge".

Obviously they specialize in wine and whiskey but they also serve up craft cocktails. Every Thursday they also have live music.

Cocktail Lounges and Speakeasy-Style Bars in Downtown Rochester, MN

Pereira's is joining a growing list of cocktail lounges/speakeasy-style bars in Rochester. Also on the list are:

1928 Cocktail Lounge (above Bebap)

Bitter and Pour (near The Tap House downtown)

Palmetto Room (in the basement of Our Paladar)

Shhhh... (in the basement of Thai Pop)

Pereira's you can find on the second level of The Castle. Their hours are Tuesday - Wednesday 4-9 PM, and Friday-Saturday 4-10 PM.
