Winter Storm Watch Thursday Night Into Friday Across Southern Minnesota
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for a large portion of southern Minnesota in effect from Thursday night into Friday.
The Winter Storm Watch includes Dakota, Freeborn, Goodhue, Le Sueur, Rice, Scott, Steele, and Waseca Counties (+more), as well as the entire Twin Cities metro area.

Heavy snow is possible across the region, with 4 to 7 inches of accumulation anticipated.
Travel could be very difficult. Patchy blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility. The hazardous conditions could impact the Thursday evening and Friday morning commutes.
Forecasters are also watching another potential storm system for our area Saturday into Sunday.
