Ten Dollars a Month for YouTube?

YouTube announced a subscription service yesterday called "YouTube Red."  The video website says it will allow you to watch videos without the ads for $10 a month.  They're offering people a free month to test it out.

In addition to skipping the commercials, you'll be able to save videos to your phone or tablet to watch later without an internet connection. Plus, the subscription will allow you to play music from YouTube in the background while using other apps.

You'll also get full access to Google Play Music.

YouTube says they'll start offering original content to subscribers next year, as well.

It launches next Wednesday at YouTube.com/Red.
