A Pregnant Wife And An Over Protective Pet

If you follow me on facebook you already know that my wife and I are expecting our first child in August.   I’m going to share some of my experiences with you on this blog and hopefully you can offer me a little feedback.    My first question about pregnancy has to do with pets.   Can pets sense when a woman is pregnant?   About two weeks before we found out we were expecting our cat started to become very possessive of my wife.   Anytime my wife would sit or lie down the cat would sit on my wife’s lap with her head resting on my wife’s stomach.  She wouldn’t move until my wife got up.   When my wife did get up the cat would follow her everywhere.   The cat had never ever acted like this before so these weird behaviors kind of made us think that we might indeed be pregnant.   2 weeks after noticing the cat’s actions we saw two lines on the pregnancy test!!   We’re  20 weeks along now and the cat is still attached to my wife.   If you’re a parent with pets did you notice any abnormal behaviors??
