You're probably not ready to think about, but after Halloween, you'll be drinking heavily to get through the holidays with family at Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's. You've probably already started planning your holidays, scheduling vacation time from work. If not, you're already thinking about it and stressing out over it. Are you driving or flying this year? If you're flying, there are a few life hacks that might make it less stressful.

According to Yahoo! Travel, there are Five Airport Life Hacks that should make travelling this holiday season more enjoyable and less stressful. The first one is to always head left: most commuters are right handed and tend to bottleneck in the line to the right. That leaves all the lines open on the left.

Another life hack is to make a screen shot of your boarding pass. I'm still old school, I print my boarding pass out. It tends to get bent, folded and turned into an Origami bird. The easiest and smoothest way to travel is to keep a screen shot of your boarding pass for quick scanning to keep moving.

The life hack that surprised me most was fourth on the list: bring your own power.

Okay, MacGyver, listen up; on top of packing your luggage and whatever carry-on you're bringing, make sure to have a power strip. That way you can charge your electronics, laptop, or iPhone 6. And not just your own electronics, but make new friends by offering to share a socket or two. For a small, nominal, pittance fee -- uh, free.

It's been a while since I flew last. It's been about a year-and-a-half since my wife and I brought our daughter Bella home from Kiev, Ukraine. These hacks could have made our trip a little smoother, and maybe quicker getting through the airport. But we did alright. Here we are with our two boys, Justin and Ethan.
