Area Pizza Hot Spot Opening for the Season

One of the most unique experiences in southeast Minnesota is opening for the season, as Berne Wood-Fired Pizza kicks off its 2016 season tonight!

Pizzas will be available from 5-8 PM every Wednesday from June to August, and there will be a concert series running in conjunction with the Wednesday night pizza baking. Tonight's band is everybody's favorite outlaw country band, the Luke n' Bob Texas Band!

And as fate would have it, I ran into Luke and Bob on Saturday night at the Rochester Repertory Theatre! Members of the band are Luke Hendrickson (pictured, on my left) Bob Denny (pictured on my right) Al Denny and Chris Schmidt, and they are every bit the hard-partying, straight-talking, dirty-mouthed guys you'd hope and expect them to be, but they’re also the nicest most laid back group of guys, (who just happen to like theatre!) and they put on a heck of a show!

They play an awesome mix of covers and originals, and if you aren't already into outlaw country, a lot of it will sound brand new to you! If you haven't been to any of the Berne concerts, you need to put it on your summer bucket list!

All profits from these Wednesday night pizza and concert events will be donated to the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Berne, Minnesota.
