This stuff doesn't cover up tats, it removes them. You may have seen this Youtube video of a cover-up that masks the ink of the most tattooed man in the world:

But that's not the hope of one Alex Falkenham, a pathology researcher at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. He's hopeful a cream he's developing will do away with painful and expensive laser treatments and remove tattoos from your body completely. One difference between laser removal and his product, this cream will only affect cells that hold ink in the skin, and only needs to be applied on the skin; meaning no injections and no inflammation; the tattoo would just fade away after several applications. The other is the price. Treatment is expected to cost about 4 cents per square centimeter!

It's not ready for commercial release yet as he's still testing it on pigs at this point. Keep in mind, there are already creams on the market that claim to do what this will once it's approved, but none have been approved by the FDA, and the Mayo Clinic warns they are not proven to truly remove tattoos and they could give you a nasty rash. No release date has been set for this student's hopeful breakthrough.

I've just got two questions:

1. Got a tattoo you want to rub this stuff on get rid of it?

2. Where's he finding pigs with tattoos?
