Rochester may be a big city but it has a small town feel to it. You could have imagined my surprise when I found out a friend lived so close to me. Literally just right down the road on the same street as me! We've enjoyed knowing we are neighbors and I am grateful for such an amazing new friend. Needless to say when Brenda asked me to be in her holiday greeting for Fox 47, I was so humbled and honored to do so.

As many of you know, I founded and coordinate the CAKE (Caring Acts of Kindness Everywhere) group. I talk about it occasionally on the air. It's simply a volunteer ran group filled with professional volunteers that help out locally with non-profits or commit acts of kindness in the community. If you'd all let me, I could talk about it for hours. It really is an amazing group of people doing incredible things in the community. I am inspired daily by those involved in it.

The goal of the holiday greeting is to remind people that we never know what others may be going through and committing an act of kindness just might lift someones day. You can check out the video below.
