Dave’s Top 5: Leap Day Action Heroes
If Leap Year is all about a switcheroo, here's a Top 5 switch for you!
So there's this Irish thing about women proposing to men on Leap Day. 73% of guys say they would say yes if the woman in their life proposed to them. Which means that something like 27% of guys are pretty old school and think it's a man's responsibility.
So if Leap Day is about switching things around, then how about a Top 5 Leap Day Action Heroes!
I'm talking about heroes like Sigourney Weaver's Ripley from the Alien franchise.
Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft and Salt. She was also part of The Furious Five in Kung Fu Panda.
Halle Berry as Storm in the X-Men franchise. She was also Jinx in that James Bond film, Die Another Day.
Gal Gadot from The Fast and The Furious franchise will be making her debut March 25th as Wonder Woman in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice.
So who are my Top 5 Female Action Heroes?

Hayley Atwell
Aside from appearing on the stage and a few productions like AMC's The Prisoner remake and 2010's The Pillars of the Earth adaptation, Hayley Atwell has been kicking butt and taking names as SHIELD Agent Peggy Carter. You know what I'm talking about if you've seen the Agent Carter short before the ABC series started.
There's a rumor that Atwell has been cast in a pilot for a new series, which would make a third season of Agent Carter questionable...

Scarlet Johannson
She was one of the stand-outs of Iron Man II as Black Widow; along with Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury and Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson one of the threads that pulled all the Marvel films together into The Avengers.
Did you see her in the film Lucy? Wow.

Zoe Saldana
First seen as a Trekkie in Tom' Hanks' The Terminal, Saldana has created at least three distinctly strong femal roles: as the new Uhura in the Star Trek franchise; as the blue-skinned Na'vi, Nytiri, in Avatar and as the green-skinned Gamora in Guardians of the Galaxy.
Uhura will be back this year in Star Trek Beyond. Gamora is back in the Guardians sequel next year.
She was also in Drumline, and the first Pirates of the Caribbean film.

Melissa Benoist
Have you seen this new Supergirl series on CBS? I was kind of surprised that a show that should have a young audience would be on a network that's home to shows like Murder, She Wrote. I would think a better fit would be the CW, were other similar shows like Arrow and The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow are already.
There's a inter-network crossover with Supergirl and The Flash, which is going to connect all four of the shows together.
My favorite Superman is Christopher Reeve. Former Glee star, Melissa Benoist as Supergirl kinda reminds me of the Reeve's first couple of Superman films.

Daisy Ridley
English actress Daisy Ridley has been described as a "total unknown" to American audiences. Now, she's the mysterious, breakout star of the new Star Wars sequel trilogy films.
She and co-star John Boyega as Finn have taken Star Wars, and actually run with it. No, really, there's a lot of running in The Force Awakens.
The big question is Who is Rey?
We'll probably find out more when Star Wars VIII opens in theaters in December 2017.
