Daycare Did Not Make Sure These Kids Had Sunscreen On, And The Result Is AWFUL!

These poor kids!  A mom alleges their daycare did not properly take care of her children during a trip to a local water park.  The boys, ages 5 and 7, ended up suffering second- and third-degree burns.

According to the full story at Buzzfeed.com, the mother was informed that: "The daycare told the kids to keep their clothes on, but that Broadway’s sons didn’t listen"

Um, you're a daycare and these kids are 5 and 7 years old!  If children this age were able to make smart, rational decisions there would be no need for daycare services...

Who are these idiots running this place??

By early Saturday morning, the burns began to blister and the boys were in excruciating pain...

Stuff like this just makes me sick to my stomach!  Here's video from the boys suffering from the itching and burning from the sunburn the following day...

What upsets me more than anything else in this story is that the daycare was apparently making fun of them. When children are crying in pain, adults should never make fun of them.  Children don’t understand how important it is to wear sunscreen or to keep their shirts on for protection.  So to make fun of them is beyond messed up.  Why do these people even work with children?

Just please, PLEASE apply sunscreen regularly when you know you're going to be out in the sun so that things like this can never happen to you!
