PACER Center will present “10 Topics to Help Your Child Succeed in Special Education,” a free workshop for parents of children with disabilities and for professionals. It will take place from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14 at Goodview Elementary School, 5100 9th St., Winona.

Parents who participate in this interactive workshop will learn 10 important areas in the special education process that will help their child be successful. Parents will also be provided with four useful tools to help in the process.

Topics will include:

  • Working with your child and the school
  • Using special education data to help your child
  • Effective parent and school communications
  • Procedures to use when parents and schools do not agree

This event is co-sponsored by the Winona Parent Network Night and funded in part by a grant from the Minnesota Department of Education.
