The Rochester Civil War Round Table will feature Lanny Witter presenting "The Role of Immigrants in the Civil War".
Did the immigrant soldiers win the Civil War for the North? This presentation will address the flood of immigrants prior to the war and what motivated so many of them to participate, mainly on the Union side. The contributions of foreign born individuals and ethnic units will also be presented.
