Music collectors’ show returns with free admission
On Sunday, April 6, the Rochester Music Expo returns to Southern Minnesota after a successful show last October. Co-hosts Tim Schloe and Rich Franson will bring the music-buying experience to collectors with free admission.
The Rochester Music Expo takes place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Best Western Plus, located at 401 6th St. SW. The show takes place in the Evergreen Room, located on the second floor of the hotel. Early admission is available at 8:30 a.m. for $10/person.
The Rochester Music Expo will feature a dozen dealers from the Midwest, including dealers from the Twin Cities and features a dealer from Rochester. The Expo will feature records, CDs and music memorabilia from all types of music.
“There has always been a strong interest in Southern Minnesota in record collecting, but the level of collecting music on vinyl has continued to grow in the last seven years,” said Tim Schloe.” Rich Franson added: “The show features a great selection of, records, CDs and music memorabilia. If people have records or music memorabilia they’ve been holding onto, we will have a dedicated table to bring their items in to sell. Garage, psych, soul, 1960s and 1970s rock, jazz and similar types of music are the ones we are most interested in obtaining.”
