The “World’s Longest Hockey Game” raised over $1 million for the Alberta Cancer Foundation, with the money going towards a $2.5 million MRI scanner that can detect cancer in the earlier stages, making the fight that much more possible. The game came to an end Monday after 250 consecutive hours of play involving former NHL stars!

It's come a long way from it's start when the “World’s Longest Hockey Game” back in 2003 raised $150,000. And it looks like the next "game" won't be for at least another 2 years. Check out the details here (Sports.Yahoo.com)
