Much of Minnesota is under a flash flood watch - from the southwest part of the state, all of the central region and even many northern areas as heavy rain has fallen and more is expected.

The National Weather Service says rainfall totals over the past 24 hours are generally in the 2 - 4 inch range with isolated areas receiving 5 - 6 inches. And more is expected into tomorrow.

The system that is producing the rain will gradually moved into southeast Minnesota

and could dump 1 - 2 inches of rain through tomorrow. Thunderstorms may also develop.
