The Minnesota Department of Transportation has lifted its 'no travel' advisory for southeastern Minnesota, but travel is still difficult and dangerous.

101 snowplows have been clearing roads since last night. The crews report that safe travel speeds on area highways are around 30-35 mph. If you are traveling, allow yourself extra time to reach your destination safely.

Motorists can check the road conditions, weather reports, and see live footage from snowplow cams at www.511mn.org.

An additional 8 inches of snow is possible across our listening area by tonight and road conditions aren't expected to improve.

The City of Rochester has declared a snow emergency. Parking violators will be ticketed or towed. Read more, here.
