National Weather Service

Rochester was not among the Minnesota communities that saw 50-degree warmth on Monday, but the unofficial high of 45-degrees was the warmest it is been in the city since of November 16th of last year. The mercury finally reached 40-degrees on Sunday, ending a 98-day streak without a 40-degree reading in Rochester, which was the fourth longest on record. The longest streak, at 122 days, occurred in 1985-86. A number of Minnesota cities reported highs of 50-degrees or warmer on Monday, including the Twin Cities, Winona, Red Wing and Duluth.  The National Weather Service is predicting a messy mix of rain, freezing rain, and snow late Monday night and Tuesday.
