Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A sentencing hearing was held Thursday afternoon for one of the seven Rochester men charged in connection with a recent child pornography investigation.

29-year-old Evan Erickson was the first to enter into a plea agreement to the charges and is the first to be sentenced. He was ordered to spend six months in jail and five years on probation. Olmsted County Judge Debra Jacobson also gave Erickson a stayed 15 month prison term that he could be required to serve if he fails to meet the terms of his probation.

Erickson pleaded guilty to five counts of possession of child pornography through an agreement with prosecutors that resulted in the dismissal of six other charges, including one for disseminating child porn.

Three of the other defendants in the case have also pleaded guilty and are awaiting sentencing.
