Lake City Woman Killed; Boyfriend Being Held

BALDWIN, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin authorities have arrested a Minnesota man in connection with the shooting death of his girlfriend.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday deputies arrested 22-year-old Tanner Rix of Lake City,Minnesota, on Tuesday. They say he was standing outside a car parked in the street. 28-eight-year-old Angel Linderman of Lake City was found dead inside with a gunshot wound to the head.

Deputies say they responded to a 911 caller who said he needed help for a passenger who had been shot in their car. The sheriff's office says autopsy results indicate the 911 call was made several hours after she was shot.

The suspect was wanted on two felony warrants issued in Minnesota. It's unclear if he has been charged.

The sheriff's office continues to investigate.
