The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration just published updated statistics which show Minnesota drivers are the best in the country.

To rank the states they look at each state’s fatality rate per 100 million vehicle miles traveled, traffic citations, seat belt usage, speeding tickets, and drunken driving and careless driving violations. Minnesota had the lowest rate of fatal driving crashes caused by carelessness and the third-lowest overall fatality rate.
