Powerball Jackpot Soars to $800,000,000
Undated (KROC AM News) - It was announced on Thursday that the Powerball lottery game’s grand prize had jumped to $700 million. Experts had predicted it could go higher due to a surge in ticket sales and they were right.
The lottery announced Friday morning the jackpot had shot up to $800 million. The experts think it will grow even more before Saturday night’s drawing.
The current grand prize has a cash value of almost $500 million, before taxes.
If it rolls over again Saturday night, the jackpot could approach $1 billion.
