Jessica Attwood of Rochester, a Doctor of Bioethics at Mayo Clinic, was recently on the set of the popular television show 'Judge Judy,' but not because she was involved in a case. As part of the celebrations for the show being on the air for 20 years, CBS recently held a contest for viewers. They were to write an essay of 500 words or less on how Judge Judy had influenced their life. Attwood won the grand prize out of more than 75,000 entries!

As the grand prize winner, Attwood and a guest (her sister Emily Hagensick) got a trip to Los Angeles for 3 days, where they got to go to the CBS studio to attend a taping of the show.

Here's an insider secret she learned when she was in the studio; the audience is entirely composed of paid actors!

The shows Attwood was there for will be airing today (May 17) and next Tuesday (May 24), so be sure to keep an eye out for her in the front row!  And if you want to read more about Attwood's time at the show, what went on behind the scenes, or details on her winning essay check out the column I wrote on her for the Post Bulletin!
