Rochesterfest Names 2015 Chair
The 2015 Rochesterfest Chairperson was named today.
KROC AM’s Brent Ackerman was given the leadership post for the event’s 33rd year. He takes over as Rochesterfest is facing two major changes this year - a new location and parade route.
The event had been held for years near the Mayo Civic Center but due to the upcoming expansion project, organizers were forced to relocate to Soldiers Field Park. The parade route will also be moved because of the construction project. A new route is expected to be selected in the near future.
The theme for this year’s event is - “ Rochesterfest - A Walk in the Park. “
The event will be held June 20 - 28.
